4th Luwangpokpa T20 Trophy : Anson hits 61-ball 120, guides UCC to 110-run victory

Thangjam Anson scored an unbeaten 61-ball 120 to help UCC-Uripok crush KIYC-Kshetrigao by 110 runs for the second Group C victory in the 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T20 Trophy.
UCC, who beat YWC-P in the previous match, elected to bat first and racked up a massive total of 209/2 at Lairenjam Public Ground courtesy Anson's ton, which is first by any batter in the tournament this season and Haobijam Ajitkumar's 54-ball 68 and rode on bowling attack led by Jenish Pukhrambam 3/9 in 4 overs to restrict KIYC to 99/8 .
Geetchandra Moirangthem was the highest run getter for KIYC adding 38 runs off 32 balls in the chase which also saw five UCC bowlers claiming a wicket apiece.

In another Group C match scheduled at Moijing Public Ground, FORCE-Kshetrigao, who suffered their first match defeat to AKSDO, bounced back to beat YAC by 11 runs.
FORCE opted to bat first but were bowled out for 106 runs as Singhajit Sharma (3/15), Joychandra Ngangom (3/17) and W Indrakumar (2/27) of YAC bowled too well but their batting department failed to capitalise on the chances and succumbed at 95/9 as Tashib Alam (3/19), Mutum Sushil (2/20) and Naeem Ahamad (2/9) were frugal enough.
Fajirul Haque scored highest 26 for FORCE while Abocha Laishram scored highest 29 for YAC.
Meanwhile in the Group A match staged at Model Hr Sec School and Oriental College Ground, WYC-Wangkhem rode on all round performance from Huirongbam Biteshwor (48 runs off 33 balls and 4/10 in 4 overs) to overwhelm SDC-Laipham Khunou by 64 runs for the second win.
W Laksmon 35 not out and Huirongbam Biteshwor 48 not out steered WYC to 149/5 after electing to bat first and bowled out SDC for 85 runs in 19.5 overs riding on Biteshwor's 4/10 and two wicket hauls by Borish Khomdram (2/19) and Ruhit Nongmaithem (2/12) .
Biteshwor was eventually adjudged man of the match.
At Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, KCC-Kongba demolished THAU-Thangmeiband by 144 runs for the second Group B win as Rohen and Singthoi produced stellar performances.
Opting to bat first, KCC amassed a massive total of 194 runs for 8 wickets thanks to a half century from Rohen Singh (42-ball 62) and Keisham Basantakumar's 17-ball 37.The total came despite efforts from THAU bowlers Kh Romesh (3/31), N Surash (2/43) and Diamond (2/30) .
Singthoi Nandeibam then enjoyed a fifer to subdue THAU batters badly and set up the batting collapse within 13.2 overs with Y Sheiteendra picking up two crucial wickets from the other end.
