Moreh bound LPG laden truck halted

Kakching village volunteers and members of Langsai Thouna made refilled LPG cylinders laden truck en-route to Moreh to return from Kakching Lamkhai on Tuesday.
In a release, Langsai Thouna informed that Kakching village volunteers and Langsai Thouna members halted a truck carrying 342 refilled LPG cylinders headed towards Moreh at Kakching Lamkhai on Tuesday around 9.30 am.
The refilled gas cylinders were meant for supplying to Haokip Gas Service located at Moreh after it was refilled at Indian Oil Company, Dimapur, it continued, while mentioning that Haokip Gas Service is an agency owned and managed by a Kuki named Ngaineineng alias Boishi Haokip.
Stating that displaced Meeteis in Moreh are still taking shelter in relief camps and yet to resettle at their respective homes, Langsai Thouna recalled the death of some state forces and unabated attack on the forces in Moreh, As such, Langsai Thouna along with the people of Kakching resolved not to allow transportation of essential items meant for Kukis in Moreh and Tengnoupal.
It stated that the truck was detained according to the resolution but was later released and made to return after a discussion.
Making it clear that no items meant for Kukis will be allowed to pass Kakching Lamkhai, Langsai urged all to extend support to them.
