AR provides solar lights, holds lecture

Imphal, March 05 2024:
Assam Rifles under its civic action programme distributed 26 solar lights and installed them at Gangpijang village, Moreh, Meipou village, Aimol Tampak village, and Kulyang village in Tengnoupal district on Monday.
Following the distribution, Assam Rifles engaged in interactive sessions with the locals, discussing various developmental initiatives and events.
These engagements underscore Assam Rifles' commitment to community-empowerment and welfare in remote regions of Manipur, a PRO IGAR (S) release said.
Meanwhile, a career guidance lecture at H Mongjang village, Moreh, Tengnoupal district was organised by the Company Operating Base Commander of Assam Rifles.
The lecture attracted a total of 75 village locals, including 45 students.
The lecture illuminated various career possibilities for unemployed graduates and residents of remote border villages, emphasising employment opportunities within the Indian Army and Assam Rifles across all ranks.
It fostered awareness and provided insights into potential career paths, promoting community development and empowerment, said the PRO in another release on Tuesday.
The event concluded with the distribution of stationery items and refreshments, further enhancing the engagement and support extended to the local youth and village residents.
Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing talent and fostering socio-economic development in the region, the release added.
