AMCO appeals for peace

All Manipur Christian Organisation (AMCO), the apex Christian body representing all Christian Communities from different denominations of the State have fervently appealed all "brothers and sisters" to restrain themselves from all kinds of violence and aggressive acts which were against Christian ethics and principles.
In a press note, AMCO President Rev Prim Vaiphei and Information Secretary Rev L Simon Raomai expressed deep concern over the social unrest and turmoil experienced by the people of Manipur.
Pointing out that the State is facing "multifaceted issues and problems all tangled up", AMCO said the people can extricate themselves out of the mess if all resort to peaceful means.
AMCO leaders expressed "deep pain and concern" over the unfortunate incident of firing which resulted in loss of precious lives and also the vandalism resulting into damage of properties of some political leaders.
AMCO requested all the people from different ethnic backgrounds to extend cooperation in order to bring about restoration of peace and tranquility in the State.
