MSF urges online/physical issuance of admission forms

In view of the order issued by Director of Education (S), Manipur on July 8 informing principals of government higher secondary schools to conduct admission process favourable to them and the increasing Covid-19 positivity rate, Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has urged for issuance of admission forms for students both in online and.
offline modes.
In a release, MSF general secretary Hijam Roshan pointed out that parents and guardians of students are facing tremendous inconveniences either staying near schools or standing in long queue defying SOP to get admission forms for Class XI since dawn for the past few days.
As such, the admission process should be done in a proper way.
With the issuance of admission notice by principal of TG Higher Secondary School on July 10, large number of parents and guardians gathered near the school gate from Monday night to get admission forms.
Ninety five per cent of them did not wear face masks and followed social distancing norms, Roshan said.
While urging the health director to focus on translating the statements about precautionary measures in connection with the rising Covid-19 positive cases in the state, Roshan also exhorted the Education (S) director to review the directions given to schools regarding admission and initiate process to allow both online and offline modes in the admission process so as to prevent spread of Covid-19 .
