Various organisations of the state condoled over the sudden demise of noted academician, human right activist Professor Naorem Sanajaoba.
In a press release of All Manipur Bar Association signed by its general secretary, Y Priyokumar today recollect the valuable contribution made by Professor N Sanajaoba during his lifetime.
The statement said that Professor N Sanajaoba was a human right activist who relentlessly lit up the light of awarness of human rights to the suppressed people of the state with the guidlines of United Nations.
He devoted his lifetime in acquiring a place for the indigenous people of the state in the world.
It is a great loss for the people of the state, further stated the release.
The Royal Academy of Law, Oinam, United Villages and Clubs' Organisation (YVACO), Nambol, All Manipur Students Union (AMSU), Union of Social Upliftment- an apex body of Imphal East Organisations, Khurai Lamlong and Ethno Heritage Council (HERICOUN) also condoled over the sudden demise of the noted human right activist.
The Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has also condoled the death of Prof N Sanajaoba, former Dean, Faculty of Law, Gauhati University.
A press release of DESAM today stated that Prof Sanajaoba was known not only as an intellectual of the North East India, but was also a leader who took the leading role in protecting human rights.
He death is a great loss of Manipur, it stated.
