Thoubal, September 26 2024: Tree plantation programs were conducted at Thoubal Leishangthem High School and Thoubal College today.

The tree plantation drive at Thoubal Leishangthem High School was organised by Zonal Education Office/DPO, Samagra Shiksha Thoubal in collaboration with the school under the aegis of Samagra Shiksha Manipur.

School staff, students, N Rajen, DI, ZEO Zone III and other officials were present at the drive which was carried out under the State Government's "Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE" initiative.

Meanwhile, the tree plantation programme at Thoubal College campus was held as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Ek Ped Maa Ki Naam" campaign.

The IQAC and NSS Unit of Thoubal College organised the programme under the supervision of the Directorate of University & Higher Education.

Altogether 100 tree saplings were planted by College staff and students in and around the campus.
