Imphal, January 22 2024: As a part of the year-long Golden Jubilee celebrations of the All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU), a Special Awareness cum Account Opening Camp on "National Small Savings Schemes, Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural PLI" was held today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

The camp was organised by AMWJU in association with the Directorate of Small Savings under the Department of Finance; Department of Post, Manipur Division, and Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) .

It was attended by IPR Director, Dr Th Charanjeet Singh; AMWJU president, Bijoy Kakchingtabam and Rajendra Kumar Singh, Director, Directorate of Small Savings, Department of Finance, Government of Manipur as presidium members.

During the camp, experts from the Department of Post, Manipur Division, gave awareness on various schemes initiated by the Department for the welfare of the public.

They also gave a powerpoint presentation on the benefits of National Small Savings Schemes.

Later, an account opening session was also conducted.
