Imphal, August 28 2023: Accusing the members of Kongpal Porompat Keithel Development Committee of flouting various rules and regulations of the Committee, the JNIMS Mamang Awang Leikai Plot Owners Development Association, Porompat has urged the relevant Government authority to punish the culprits as per the law of the land.

In a statement, the JNIMS Mamang Awang Leikai Plot Owners Development Association claimed that the Kongpal Porompat Keithel Development Committee did not have any of the required office documents such as account statements, bank account of the office etc.

The Association also accused the Committee of acting as per their whims without passing any concrete resolutions and thus leading to doubling of land (shop) plots and causing confusion among the people.

The JNIMS Mamang Awang Leikai Plot Owners Development Association further questioned how the Kongpal Porompat Keithel Development Committee is still in operation when their ten-year lease signed with the Government has allegedly expired and no further extension on the lease term had reportedly been signed.

Highlighting another discrepancy in the undertakings of the Keithel Committee, the Association claimed that the original map of the 'Keithel' had been manipulated and certain plots had been sold off and used as a means to earn income for the Committee.

JNIMS Mamang Awang Leikai Plot Owners Development Association further appealed to the authorities concern to book the responsible persons and dole out appropriate punishment to the culprits.
