MMWO greets fellow Muslims on Id-Ul Adha

Imphal, June 27 2023: The Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation (MMWO) has greeted all faithful Muslims on the eve of Id-Ul Adha and preached for peace in the State on this auspicious day.

In a statement, MMWO called upon fellow Muslims residing in the state to pray for peace during Namaj observation and for unity and integrity of the State besides observing two minutes silence as a mark of respect to those killed in the communal conflict.

Expressing regret over loss of valuable lives, properties and injuries caused due to the violence, MMWO also appealed to all celebrating the festival to tone down the celebration.

It also appealed to all to observe only necessary parts of the festivals as a mark of solidarity to all communities affected by the violence.

MMWO urged all to stress on the idea of universal brotherhood and work in the common interest to ensure peace prevail among all communities dwelling in the State.
