Imphal, January 14 2024: The All Manipur VDF Employees' Welfare Association (AMVDFEWA) has appealed to the State Government to fulfil their long standing demand of increasing the monthly honorarium of VDF personnel before the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 .

In a release, AMVDFEWA appealed to the Government to acknowledge the role of VDF in maintaining law & order in the State and the issues/ problems faced by them while performing their duties.

Highlighting that the monthly honorarium given to VDF is too low, AMVDFEWA said that VDF personnel are facing a lot of difficulties to manage their family and provide education to their children with the honorarium of Rs 10,500 .

AMVDFEWA further appealed to the State Government to increase the honorariums of VDF personnel considering the frequent hike in price of essential commodities and high expenditure for education of children.
