Imphal, January 23 2024:
The All India Forward Bloc, Manipur State Committee observed the 128th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Malom Changangei today accompanied by members of other like-minded political parties.
A statement issued by Mutum Yaima, publicity secretary, All India Forward Bloc, Manipur State Committee (AIFB/MSC) shared that the birth anniversary of the notable nationalist leader was attended by Khomdram Gyaneshwar, State secretary, AIFB/MSC; Ksh Santa, secretary, CPI (Marxist); Kangjam Manoranjan representing RSP; Thiyam Jugindro of Aam Aadmi Party; Soram Iboyaima (NCP); Toijam Deban, president, Shiv Sena (UT) and many eminent leaders of the aforementioned parties.
On the occasion, Khomdram Gyaneshwar expressed his deep concern over the tumultuous situation in Manipur.
Highlighting the lack of law and order in Manipur, he stated that nowadays there is nothing to stop people from doing as they please without any consideration for right or wrong or acceptable social etiquette or individual human rights.
There is no reflection of a functioning State administration in society.
The duties of the Government are being performed by private citizens.
Thousands of families who have suffered deaths and loss of property in the eight-month old conflict are left to fend for themselves, said the State secretary of AIFB/MSC.
The present dispensation has made a joke out of the ideology of Subhas Chandra Bose and all efforts to bring about political, social and economic liberty.
Lastly, he highlighted the need for all right thinking political parties, organisations and private citizens to unite to safeguard the people of Manipur from external aggression and other divisive forces.
