RSS appeals to put an end to violence

Expressing concern over the deteriorating situation in Manipur, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Manipur Pranta has appealed to all groups concerned to shun violence and maintain normalcy.
"The escalating violence in Manipur has worsened the crisis and caused serious distress," said Dr Th Naranbabu Singh, the Sanghchalak of RSS Manipur Pranta, in a statement.
He condemned the inhumane acts of violence against innocent civilians and the brutal murder of farmers recently.
Dr Th Naranbabu said attacks of civilians must be stopped and both sides should put an end to the violence that has marred Manipur since May 3, 2023 .
He said the culprits who killed civilians and farmers should be booked under the law and befitting punishment should be given accordingly.
The Central and State Government, he said "should take up immediate steps to bring normalcy and tranquillity in the State." He appealed to all the civil society organizations in the State, intellectuals, and students to come forward and initiate peace dialogues with all stakeholders to restore normalcy in Manipur.
