Do not indulge in activities that could lead to misunderstandings: UMPCO to Pangal community

United Meitei Pangal Clubs Organisation (UMPCO) Thoubal has appealed to the Pangal community to refrain from indulging in any activities that might cause misunderstandings between different communities and lead to unwanted incidents.
A statement issued by Riyajuddin Shah, general secretary, UMPCO Thoubal has elaborated on this and made a request to the Pangal community to avoid transportation of questionable items or weapons or sale of weapons and driving vehicles not registered in one's name which might lead to unwanted misunderstandings by a community.
It added that the community must also refrain from using language and indulging in activities that could be deemed harmful to one community.
Stating that the pangal community has been making attempts to restore normalcy during the tense situation that has gripped the State, the Organisation added that any individual found involving in activities that could be harmful to the integrity of Manipur, the bonds of brotherhood or cause misunderstandings then they must take responsibility for their own actions.
The Organisation will also take stern action against such individuals, it added.
With regards to the upcoming festival of Eid-Ul-Azha, the statement urged the Pangal community to abide by directives issued to only observe Eid Namaj and Kurbani, foregoing all other activities associated with the festival in view of the conflict and the human tragedy that the State has witnessed.
It also appealed to the local clubs and organisations to take up precautionary measures to prevent the occurrence of unwanted incidents in their respective areas.
On the occasion of Eid-Ul-Azha, UMPCO Thoubal also appealed to Imams to offer 'duas' to save the people from the conflict and restore peace and normalcy in the State.
