AR rescues Meitei man

A 56 year old Meitei man was rescued by troops of 22 Assam Rifles from Motbung Bazar this morning.
The man reportedly went to Motbung for marketing in an autorickshaw.
Troops of 22 Assam Rifles received information about one Meitei man coming to Motbung in an autorickshaw at around 9.15 am, sources said.
A column of 22 Assam Rifles swung into action immediately under the supervision of CO Kartik Thapa and safely rescued the individual identified as Chingsubam Ningthem 56 s/o (L) Yaima of Awang Leikinthabi.
The Assam Rifles troops rescued Ningthem from Motbung Bazar at around 10.30 am and took him into their custody for safety.
Later Ningthem was handed over to Sekmai police station by 22 Assam Rifles at around noon.
From Sekmai police station, Ningthem was handed over to his family members at around 12.30 pm .
