AR conducts medical camps, aids injured man

Assam Rifles on Tuesday conducted a medical camp for internally displaced people and interacted with them at Veitum Khullen village in Kangpokpi district.
The aim of the camp was to provide necessary medical aid to the people who have been displaced due to the Manipur conflict and also to identify and resolve other issues faced by them.
A total of 64 civilians, who are staying in relief camp as well as people from nearby villages attended the camp.
Medical officer of Assam Rifles interacted with the people and assured that every possible assistance, which will improve the living condition in relief camps, will be provided.
The medical camp will help in controlling any outbreak of disease and ensure hygienic and sanitised living conditions.
Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) also organised a medical camp at Manipur College relief camp, here, on Tuesday during which 53 residents were examined for various ailments, and medicine and sanitation kit provided.
According to PRO IGAR (S), another camp was conducted at Behiang in Churachandpur district on Monday by the security forces.
Apart from 20 people examined during the medical camp, the villagers were briefed about precautions and routine to be followed to ensure a healthy family and society.
On the other hand, emergency medical aid was swiftly provided by the security forces to a villager who sustained critical injury while working in fields at Poi village in Ukhrul, the PRO informed.
