Dimapur, July 28: In the continued factional killing in Dimapur, NSCN-Unification (GPRN/NSCN) 'under secretary' Vetoshe Sumi and one Ghunato Sumi have been shot dead in Dimapur late last night by unidentified gunmen.

Reports said that unidentified armed miscreants shot two persons, including an under secretary of NSCN(U) at Signal Angami Bosti area in Dimapur late Sunday night while the dead bodies were recovered by Dimapur police at around 11 pm.

Sources revealed that the two were identified by their relatives this morning as Vitoshe, under secretary of NSCN(U) and Ghunato, a civilian.

The deceased were reportedly abducted from a village in Karbi Anglong on Sunday at around 10.30 am by five armed miscreants and later shot dead at Signal Bosti area in Dimapur.

The victims were blind folded and had their hands tied behind when police recovered their bodies.

However, according to the press release of the NSCN-Unification or "GPRN/NSCN", the two persons were killed by the NSCN-IM cadres in cold blood.

According to the press note, Ghunato Sumi was the nephew of Vetoshe Sumi while the former was said to be a student.

The NSCN-Unification press note also said that the outfit's "Lieutenant" identified as one Avikhe Sumi was also wounded by the NSCN-IM cadres on Sunday.

"The killers from Hebron Camp have continued their quest for Naga blood by seriously wounding Lieutenant Avikhe Sumi of Yehemi Village on July 27 .

In conforming with their wicked plan of sabotaging the unity of the Nagas, the beasts pounced upon Vetoshe Sumi, under secretary and his nephew Ghunato Sumi, a school student and murdered them in cold blood Never in their history have the Nagas confronted such merciless band of murderers.

If their arrogance and merciless streak has any limit, Nagas alone must decide and act lest thousands of innocent Nagas are murdered simply because they followed what they believed in," alleged the NSCN-Unification press release.

"GPRN/NSCN, while condemning the barbaric act of the Hebron gangsters, remembers the commitment of its official and prays to almighty God to offer solace to the victims' souls.

It also prays for quick recovery of the injured Naga Army officer," stated the NSCN-Unification press note.
