Items distributed to relief camps, injured

Pan India Meitei Scientists and Academicians' Association (PIMSAA) on Saturday distributed relief items to displaced students staying in various relief camps in Imphal East and Kakching districts.
The Association provided 153 bags and stationery items to students staying in the relief camp set up at Nongada, Imphal East along with 73 bags and stationery items to a relief camp in Kakching Khunou.
Meanwhile, International Association of Lions Clubs District: 322 D under Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) India Grant Manipur Crisis Relief Project provided relief materials to 1801 displaced people staying in various relief camps set up in Kakching district.
On Saturday, the relief item distribution programme hosted by Lions Club Kakching Greater was held at Wairi Salam Leikai community hall during which aid was provided to inmates of relief camps set up at Kalyan Ashram, Kakching; Yumbi Macha High School, Kakching; Kha Manipur College, Kakching; Kongoi community hall, Kakching Wairi; Old Age Home, Kakching; Indoor Stadium, Kakching and Sanatombi High School, Keirak.
Relief items were also distributed by the Club to inmates staying in relief camps at Khomdonbi Memorial English School, Kakching Khunou; Kakching Khunou Angom Leikai; Thongjao Maning Leikai; Langmeidong Higher Secondary School and Ibudhou Panganganba community hall, Hiyanglam on Friday.
Similarly, Lions Club Imphal Valley led by International Association of Lions Clubs District 322 D LCIF district co-ordinator Dr N Romi Singh handed over relief materials at relief camp opened at the residence of social worker Mayanglambam Binod in Kakching Khunou Angom Leikai on Saturday.
On the other hand, New Delhi-based Church's Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA) distributed relief items worth Rs 5 lakh at relief camps opened at Indoor Stadium, Kakching; Kha Manipur College, Kakching; Kakching Wairi Kongoi community hall; Sanatombi High School, Keirak; and Wabagai Higher Secondary School.
Meanwhile, monetary aid was provided by Keirak Meira Paibi Lup, Keirak United Development Association, IYC Keirak and various individuals to Shamurailatpam Sheityam Sharma of Keirak Mamang Leikai who received a bullet injury during the protest against Assam Rifles at Pallel on September 8 .
Similarly, Kakching Apunba Group, a body of paramilitary personnel from Kakching assembly constituency posted outside the state, handed over monetary aid of Rs 10,000 to Ningthoujam Premkumar of Heirok Part (II) Keithel Mamang, Thoubal district who is presently undergoing treatment at AIMS, New Delhi for bullet injuries suffered during the Pallel incident.
