5 men's soccer & volleyball tournament concludes

The open tournament of 5 men's soccer league, 3 aside volleyball knockout and volleyball for women concluded on Tuesday at Tadubi local ground.
The tournament that began on September 24 was organised by the Tadubi Town Committee in aid of Tadubi Town Committee Office construction.
33 Assam Rifles, Maram Battalion visited the tournament on September 26 where a band party display was showcased and entertained the spectators on the day.
The Assam Rifles also extended assistance towards the open tournament to the organising committee.
Altogether, 10 teams from women's volleyball, 26 teams in 3 men's aside volleyball and 48 teams in 5 men's soccer events participated in the tournament.
The Willong women's team beat Seven Sisters' team (Maram Khullen) in the final match of women's volleyball and walked away with Rs.10,000 cash prize while the runners-up walked away with Rs.5,000 .
In the men's 3 aside volleyball knockout, the Blinders (Mao) bagged the championship title against the Kingfisher A (Poumai) .
The champions walked away with Rs.15,000 and the runners-up received Rs.7,000 .
In the 5 men's soccer game, the Houkas defeated Tomorrow Veteran by 3-0 goals in the their semifinal match while Silent Knight beat Chiiherii by 1 0 goal in their semifinal match.
The final match on the last day was played between the Houkas (Katomei) and the Silent Knight (Pudunamei).
Both the teams could not score during their 40 minutes play and 10 minutes extra time.
The Silent Knight (Pudunamei) won the match in a penalty shootout by 2-1 goals against the Houkas (Katomei).
The winning team walked away with Rs 30,000 while the runners - up got Rs 15,000 .
Tadubi Town Committee, the organising committee of the open tournament ex pressed gratitude to all the participating teams and FCs, all the spectators, officials/referees and the 33 Assam Rifles for their kind support and cooperation f6r making the tournament a success from the commencement till the final day.
The tournament ended peacefully on a high note with participation from different communities of the district.
