Observer confident of Cong triumph

Imphal, September 28 2021:
AICC election observer and Congress MP from Assam Pradyut Bordoloi, who arrived in Imphal on Tuesday, has expressed confidence that Congress government will return in the state after the 2022 state assembly election.
Upon his arrival at Imphal international airport, Pradyut was felicitated by MPCC office bearers, and leaders of frontals, departments and cell at Congress Bhawan.
He also held a meeting with MPCC president N Loken, CLP leader O Ibobi and Congress MLAs.
Earlier, while responding to media persons at the airport, Pradyut said that it was his maiden visit to Imphal as election observer though he had visited the state in different capacities in the past.
The main objective behind his visit this time is to chalk out poll strategy for the forthcoming state assembly election.
Though Congress party secured the highest number of seats in the 2017 election, the party was denied the opportunity to form the government.
However, the party firmly believes that it will secure majority in the 2022 election and form the next government in the state.
Proper strategies will be chalked out to ensure absolute win for the party, he said.
It is said that Pradyut would be staying in Imphal for a couple of days to discuss selection of candidates, poll campaign and other issues related with the government.
