Veteran T20: DSU falter in run chase

Imphal, February 17 2015:
Cyclone defeated DSU by 17 runs in first quarterfinal of the Twenty 20 Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Cricket Ground on Tuesday.
Cyclone called correctly after winning the toss to take advantage of a true batting pitch and piled up 180 runs in 20 overs losing 5 wickets.
The major contributors were Ingenjao (58 off 47 balls), Roben (46) and Rajesh (16).Bishwajit picked up two wickets while Himat, Surjit and Devadutta notched up one wicket each.
DSU's fell short of the target by 17 runs despite a spirited late charge from Devadutta who scored 40 runs off 21 balls.
Surjit and Amarjit contributed 36 and 31 runs each.
For the winners, Abungcha, Binoy, Sachikumar, Sudir and Thoithoi shared five wickets.
Ingenjoa's half century fetched him the man of the match.
In the second quarterfinal, Model Club (A) will meet Model Club (B) on Wednesday.
