DC inaugurates Integrated Mission School

Deputy Commissioner of Chandel, Ningthoujam Geoffrey inaugurated the Integrated Mission School, a residential school run and managed by Tedei Association for Tribal Orphan and Disable Home for Orphans, Differently Able and Children Below Poverty Line at Aibuldam village in Chandel district today, reports our correspondent.
The inaugural function was also graced by SS Olish, former president of Lamkang Snulop, Rev J Simon, president of Lamkang Naga Baptist Association (LNBA) and Rev Kumar Khular, executive secretary of LNBA as the guest of honour, functional president and blessing minister respectively.
Founding Principal of the school J Darjoy Lamkang also submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
Speaking at the occasion, J Darjoy Lamkang said that the school is run and managed by Tedei Association for Tribal Orphan and Disable Home, a non profit organization with an objective to provide free education to orphans, differently able and children living under the poverty line.
He further said that with donation and assistance from generous friends and well-wishers, the association has been taking care of 35 orphans and differently able children.
However, the State Government has not extended any assistance till date.
Shakhila Lamkang, former president, Chandel Naga Women Union, Kongpe village chief Kh Khalwar, J Kanhring, Pastor Aibuldam Church and Sk Mosindai, Pastor, Lamrinkhuw Church also attended the inaugural function.
