Gaidinliu death anniversary

The 21st death anniversary of Rani Gaidinliu was observed by the Zeliangrong Baudi, ZB (AMN) today at Zeliangrong Baudi office, Tarung, Imphal.
Many people including senior leaders, social workers and women activists and theologians attended the function, according to a statement.
The resource person of the function, Panti Gonmei, human rights activist narrated the life and mission of Rani Gaidinliu.
Chingkhiusing Daimei, Secretary of ZB, Imphal Zone (Manipur) said, "Rani was one of the most adorable leaders and she is the pride of the Zeliangrong community.
Her unfulfilled agendas during her life time are our duty to accomplish as followers of Ranima" .
Manshi Gangmei, vice-president, ZB, Imphal Zone (Manipur), Poudin Riamei, former general secretary of ZB (Manipur) and other dignitaries who spoke at the occasion lamented that she was not offered due rewards in the true sense till today for her contributions to the country.
ZB, AMN expressed gratitude to many organizations like National Committee for Birth Centenary Celebration of Ran Gaidinliu, Van Sahitya Academy, Vanswar, Kalyan Ashrams, Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Assam, Van Sahitya Academy, Vanswar, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Kalyan Ashram of Manipur, and other organizations for their recognition and interest in her contributions towards society.
The ZB, AMN demanded the Government of India and the Government of Manipur to declare the grave/tomb of Rani Gaidinliu as a National heritage.
The Baudi also pointed out that the condition of the approach road of Rani's grave is in a dilapidated condition.
