GDC beats BMSC with solitary goal in TBSFA Football

GDC�B, Thinungei today blanked BMSC�B, Taobungkhok with a solitary goal in U-16 category while SKDC, Nongpok Sekmai was held in a 4-4 draw by KAN, Kadangbam in U-13 category of the ongoing State Level 5th U-13 and 10th U-16 Th Birachandra Singh Football Academy (TBSFA), Football Tournament at TBSFA Sports Complex, Taobungkhok, Imphal West.
In the U-16 category, the match was an equally contested match.
Both the teams were locked in a tough fights while trying to outsmart one another.
Even though the chances for scoring goal against one another was very low, they tried their best to sneak behind the defence of their opponents and strike goal.
In the 37th minute, GDC's N Bipinchandra scored the winning solitary goal.
On the other hand, BMSC players who were left amazed by the sudden goal did not lose heart and tried their best to equalise the score.
However all their efforts went into vain with the echoes of the final whistle as they could not equalised the score and lost the match.
K Khaba of BMSC and Th Ranbir of GDC were issued a yellow card for their unsporting behaviour during the match.
Later in the U-13 category, SKDC, Nongpok Sekmai was held in a 4-4 draw by KAN, Kadangban in a keenly contested match.
Th Boris of SKDC drew the first blood in the 3rd minute of the match which was soon equalised by Tolenkhomba of KAN in the 13th minute.
Minutes later, KAN led the match with one goal with Tolenkhomba's brace in the 22nd minute.
The lead was extended to 3-1 in the 29th minute of the match by Sandip.
Short of two goals, SKDC players did not waste much times and equalised the score with two successive goals from M Abungton in the 32nd and 34th minutes.
He was soon followed by his teammate Anku with a goal in the 38th minute and took his team again in the lead.
While trying to square back the game, KAN's Sandip scored another brace in the 50th minute and equalised the score.
Both teams unable to score any further goal, the match concluded in a draw.
Th Boris of SKDC and Tolenkhomba of KAN were issued a yellow cards for their unsporting behaviour during the match.
