NYTHC lifts Ronika Memorial trophy

NYTHC, Okram Chuthek lifted the champion's trophy of the 8th Soraisham Ronika Memorial Junior Girls' Football Tournament-2012 as the tournament concluded today at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Imphal.
The tournament was organised by the Imphal East District Football Association (IEDFA).
The final match was played between NYTHC, Okram Chuthek and ESU, Wangkhei today.
The keenly contested match concluded in a 1-1 draw.
However, in the penalty shoot out, NYTHC scored three goals against two of ESU and won the match.
The first half of the match ended 1-0 in favour of ESU with goal scored in the 20th minute of the match by H Merry.
The score was equalised in the 65th minutes in the second half of the match by S Tejibala of NYTHC.
In the penalty shoot out S Tejibala, N Binodini and Sh Jotimala of NYTHC scored while W Kamlapati and Th Romi only could manage to score goals in favour of ESU.
NYTHC custodian Sh Jotimala was adjusted Best Goalkeeper which carried Rs 2000 donated by A Johnson of Wangkhei Angom Leikai.
The title of Best Defender carrying a cash prize of Rs 2000 was awarded to K Rameshori of ESU.
The cash award was donated by Kh Mohori, President of IEDFA.
K Ranjita of NYTHC was adjusted Best Midfielder which carried Rs 2000 cash prize donated by Imphal West District Transport Officer M Mani.
The award of Best Player was conferred to S Tejibala of NYTHC.
The award donated by Th Ibotombi of Khurai Puthiba Leikai carries a cash prize of Rs 2000.Tejibala also shared the title of Top Scorer with W Kamlabati of ESU and H Momon of Sagolband by scoring six goals each.
The Fair Play Trophy which carries Rs 3000 cash prize was conferred to AMMA, Andro.
The cash award was donated by Proprietor of Arun Enterprises Th Arunkumar in the memory of his mother Thangjam Maipakpi.
NYTHC who won the tournament was awarded a cash prize of Rs 15,000 along with the champion's trophy.
The cash award was donated by Special Contractor Soraisham Joykumar in the memory of his daughter Soraisham Ronika.
Meanwhile ESU, Wangkhei was awarded Rs 10,000 along with the runners up trophy.
The award was also donated by S Joykumar.
The closing function was graced by L Ranjit Roy, Secretary, All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) and Kh Mohori, President, Imphal East District Football Association (IEDFA) as Chief Guest and President respectively.
