Imphal, January 25, 2012:
The United Revolutionary Front (URF) in a press statement today imposed ban on the state office of the Naga People's Front (NPF) reacting against its communal agenda in contesting the ensuing 10th Assembly elections.
It also stated that URF will give befitting punishment to candidates of NPF for instilling communal ill feelings by implying divide and rule policies like the Indian government.
Reacting against the statement of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio who tried to destroy the territorial integrity of Manipur by instigating the tribal people of the state against the state, URF stated that it was an act of disrespecting the people of the state.
Instead of supporting the party, people of the state should boycott the next visit of the Nagaland CM in the state.
It further stated that the front will take up actions against some leaders of MPCC who are also members of AICC regarding the issue of NPF.
