4th 57 Mountain Division Polo Tournament : Two narrow wins, one big win mark day

Two narrow wins and one win marked the second day of the 4th 57 Mountain Division Polo Tournament being played at Mapal Kangjeibung today.
While MPSC-C carved out a narrow win of 5 goals to three against Chingkheihunba Polo Club and ESC-A got the better of Tekcham Polo Club by a margin of 5 goals to 4, MPSC-A thrashed KRYPSA by 9 goals to nil in the last match of the day.
In the first match of the day played today Chingkheihunba PC took the lead in the 1st chukker scoring a goal through Y Suraj, while the police team-C did not reply.
Things however took a different turn in the 2nd chukker when MPSC-C sounded the board twice through S Abungcha and Th Ranjit while H Sanjit scored for Chingkheihunba to make to score line 2 all.
The two teams were evenly matched in the 3rd chukker when the police team scored through Th Ranjit only to see it being nullified by a goal through L Lokeshwar.
Locked at 3 goals each, the two teams took the 4th chukker warily, but here the police team got into its elements and pumped in two goals through Kh Nongpoknganga and M Vivekananda while Chingkheihunba could score even once to let the match go in favour of the police team by a margin of 5 goals to 3 .
The second match was a thriller with ESC-A managing to carve out a narrow win over Teckcham by a margin of 5 goals to four.
Tekcham went ahead in the 1st chukker through S Ranjit but ESC-A came back in the second chukker through A Cameroon who sounded the board twice.
This was however neutralised by Th Kabita and M Bhimo to help Tekcham retain the one goal lead.
The one goal deficit was however neutralised when B Shantikumar scored twice in the 3rd chukker while Tekcham could reply with only one through S Sadananda.
With both teams tied at four goals apiece, the two sides took the 4th chukker wary of each other, but ultimately ESC-A came out winners when B Shantikumar was at it again to sound the board and help his team carve out a win by a margin of 5 goals to four.
In the third match of the day, it MPSC-A all the way through against a hapless KRYPSA pumping in nine goals and conceding none.
Bimol of MPSC-A led the way with six goals, followed by Bilan with two goals and S Somorjit with one goal to complete the rout.
