2nd LYSSU Jr Boys Invitation Soccer Tournament : LYDU, LCDC, NPC script wins

LYDU-B Lilong, LCDC Mamang Leikai and NPC Narankonjil scripted victories over their rivals in contrasting style today at the ongoing 2 LYSSU Junior Boys Invitation Soccer Tournament.
The first match of the day between LYDU-B Lilong and LFC Lilong Thoubal was a closely contested match, with the former emerging victory by a margin of 4 goals to 3 .
LYDU-B went into the lead as early as the 2nd minute of the match when the players of LFC had hardly settled down when N Helli, capitalising on a defensive lapse let go a power packed shot that disturbed the net.
Galvanised by the early goal, LYDU went in for the kill and found the target in the 9th minute of the match through Abung, who had enough time to create space for himself and take a well directed shot.
Undeterred by the early setback LFC adopted a more attacking style and they started raiding the citadel of the rival team.
This strategy seemed to pay off, as Isharif Khan of LFC pulled one back in the 18th minute to boost the morale of the players.
However A Abung of LYDU Lilong found the net again the 22nd minute to put his team ahead by 3 goals to one.
Far from being demoralisedl, the LFC players put more purpose in their attack and Isharif Khan came into his elements and netted the ball in the 36th and 38th minute of the match to restore parity and bring his team into the match.
It was against the run of play that N Nanao of LYDU found himself in a good position take a well directed shot that found the target and seal the match in favour of his team by a margin of 4 goals to three.
The second match of the day between LCDC Mamang Leikai and CYDOL, Chingkhong was a totally one side affair with the former steamrolling the latter by a huge margin of 7 goals to nil.
Naoba led the charge for LCDC pumping in five goals in the 16th 34th, 35th, 38th and 43 rd minute of the match while Rakesh chipped in with two goals in the 47th and 54th minute to complete the white wash.
The third match of the day went the way of the second match too, with NFC Narankonjil brushing aside MC Awang Leikai by a margin of 7 goals to two.
Th Jugesh led the way with five goals while Th Chingkheinganba and RK Boss scored one goal apiece.
For the MC team L Chinghalba and Th Ingalemba scored the two consolation goals.
