Rural Development and Panchayati Raj cemented its place in the semi finals of the 16th Civil Services Cricket Championship 2005 with a facile 12 run win over Irrigation and Flood Control Department at Oriental College and Model Higher Secondary School ground.
In a low scoring match of the first quarter final, IFCD chasing a victory target of 123 runs were stranded at 110 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the 25 over game.
Earlier, electing to bat first, all the RD&PR batsmen were scuttled out in the 23rd over itself with K Anand Singh waging a lone battle against the disciplined IFCD bowling to gather 21 runs.
Anand, who also took two opponent wickets was named man of the match.
