Imphal, June 12 2009:
With a collection of seven gold, nine silver and six bronze medals in categories, Manipur secured the runners-up position in the 10th National Muaythai Championship held at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bangalore from May 31 till June 5, informed a manipur Amateur Muaythai Association release today.
Including four of the yellow metal, sub-junior players contributed maximum number of 10 medals for the Manipur team.
Junior category players also added two gold, three silver and bronze medal to the State's kitty while two silver medals each were fetched by senior male and junior female players.
