4 State Footballers in Asian Champion's Trophy

Four young footballers from Manipur have been inducted into AIFF XI, represented by All India Football Federation's Kalyani Regional Academy, which also happens to be the Under-16 National Team.
Dheeraj Singh (Goalkeeper), Jayananda Singh (Defender), T Kishan Singh (Defender) and striker Laishram Bedashwor, all from Manipur, are now in AIFF XI team, which will take on Frenz United Indonesia in their first Home-match of the Asia Champions Trophy 2014 at the Barasat Stadium on Saturday, May 24.The kick-off match starting at 6.35 pm of Saturday will be telecast live on DD Sports.
Head Coach Goutam Ghosh has made a change to his squad of 18 which had played against Frenz United, Malaysia- A in the first match by replacing Bedashwor Singh with Edmund Lalrindika.
Every Team will play 10 Matches in the Home and Away Format with the top two from each Group advancing to the Semifinals, which are also to be played on a Home and Away format like the Finals.
The Indian boys, who were also part of the AFC U-16 Qualifiers in Kuwait in September, 2013 have clubbed in Group-A along with Frenz United Indonesia, PVF FA Vietnam, Timor Leste U-16 National Team, Home United SC Singapore and Frenz United Malasia A .
