MPSC to meet Citizen Club in women's final; MPSC-PC for men's title

Imphal, September 11 2018: MPSC will take on Citizen Club, Soibam Leikai for the women's title of the ongoing 42nd State Senior State Level Handball Tournament 2018 organised under the aegis of Manipur Handball Association at Chingarel Tezpur Handball ground at 1.30 pm tomorrow while MPSC will lock horns with Citizen Club in the men's final at 2.30 pm.

MPSC men's team remained unbeatable throughout the league stage and wrapped up the final berth campaign in style sealing an emphatic 40-16 win over PC, Khurai Khongnangkhong today.

O Okendro shone in the match scoring a total of 10 goals while H Ingocha followed his footstep to struck 9 goals to give MPSC a huge win today.

N Saratchandra also had his chance to net 5 goals before Y Sushil added another 4 goals for MPSC.

The onslaught continued and Th Hemanta, N Gavin, L Jayenta and O Bijay scored 3 goals each to make it 40 for MPSC while Th Sonamani (4), T Ranjit (4), E Rakesh (3), Th Ingocha (3), E Premkumar (1) and K Rajesh (1) scored for the Khurai side.

The last league match of the men's competition saw, BBA, Mayang Imphal seal an overwhelming 18-4 win over Citizen Club, Soibam Leikai.

BBA dominated the game right from the begining and it were T Dinamani and A Ranjan who led the attacking front scoring 4 goals each while L Karnajit and Sh Samuel netted 3 goals each.

Th Sushil added 2 more goals for BBA while Ch Umakanta and Th Inaocha also made themselves on the scoresheet for scoring 1 goal each.

Citizen Club's goals were scored by H Malem (2) and Chingkheihunba (2) .
