Th Radheshyam stresses need to improve agriculture in Heirok

Education Minister Th Radheshyam has asked the people in his constituency to unite for a developed Heirok.
He was speaking as chief guest at a function organised by Heirok Part-II Mayai Leikai Development Committee to deliver benefits of various schemes to the people covered by the 33/33 polling station, Heirok Part-II.
The programme organised under the theme "Hingminnashi" (lets live together) witnessed delivery of many benefits such as gas connections under Ujjwala scheme, distribution of sewing machines, CMHT cards, spar pumps, bee hives boxes etc.
Speaking as chief guest, Th Radheshyam emphasised the need to develop agriculture and allied sector in the constituency.
"Majority of the people in Heirok are poor.
Agriculture is the main occupation of the people.
We need to improve agriculture to uplift the people of this constituency," he said.
Concerned with the shortage of fertilizers, he assured that he will address the issue in the coming years.
Fertilizers adequate for every agricultural field (of the constituency), will be kept in stock prior to the season, he said.
Connectivities that linked the villages with the fields will be improved in the coming years to make the fields more accessible, he said and continued that fanners will be grouped to form societies and avail loans and tractors through various schemes.
Speaking about the primary school in Heirok Part-II, he said that the Government is in the process to reconstruct the school.
He informed that construction of a residential school for orphans at Heirok Part-Ill has finished.
The residential school will housed a total 100 children (50 male and 50 female), he conveyed.
