Health Minister opens free diagnostic service centre at Thoubal District Hospital

Thoubal, September 11 2018:
A service centre which will provide free diagnostic to 53 diseases was opened today at Thoubal District Hospital by Health Minister L Jayantakumar Singh.
The free diagnostic centre was set up with Krsnaa Diagnostic Private Limited and State Government as partners.
Kangla Diagnostic Centre, Imphal will run the centre under the aegis of Krsnaa Diagnostic Private Ltd.
Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the centre at Thoubal Hospital, Health Minister L Jayantakumar stated that the free diagnostic centre was opened at the Hospital considering the strategic location of the hospital along the Asian Highway.
The centre was opened in consonance with the effort of the Government to develop and upgrade the hospital to suit international standards.
The diagnostic centre will not only provide service to the people of the area but to people of other districts also, he said.
Concerned with the recent incident in which doctors, staff and patient parties had a stand off resulting to damage of hospital properties, he appealed all not to resort to violence in such incident.
The hospital is for the people and it is people's property, he said.
It may be mentioned that the centre is third in the State.
District hospitals in Churachandpur and Bishnupur have similar diagnostic centres.
Krsnaa Diagnostic Private Limited has a total of about 107 diagnostic centres across India.
Principal Secretary Health Services V Mang, Director Health Service Dr K Rajo, Senior Pathologist of Thoubal District Hospital Sh Madhumangol and former vice president of BJP Manipur Pradesh Th Jadumani attended the event as presidium members.
