Imphal, September 11 2018:
Manipur Muslim Welfare Organization (MMWO) locked the office of MOBC Member Secretary Kh Dineshchandra today demanding the State Government to immediately remove the MOBC Member Secretary from his present post.
The organization also alleged that the State Government has violated the terms of the agreement between MMWO and the Government in the past regarding the enquiry on the implementation of the schemes of the MOBC during 2010 to 2016.Addressing a press meet held at MMWO office, Hatta today, the president of the organization F Abdullah Pathan informed that the decision to lock the MOBC Member Secretary office was taken after it warned through media that Kh Dineshchandra cannot be made to hold the post of Member Secretary of the department until the ongoing enquiry regarding the implementation of the schemes of MOBC during 2010 to 2016, is completed.
He explained that Kh Dineshchandra was the Director of MOBC during 2010 to 2016 during which the alleged misappropriation and wrongdoings in the implementation of the various schemes for minorities took place.
The possibility of the then Director being involved in the alleged wrongdoings is always possible and hence it is not logical to make the then Director hold a key-post in the same Department during the enquiry.
This may adulterate the enquiry process, Pathan alleged adding that Dineshchandra has to be proven not guilty first after the enquiry if he is to hold any key-post in the MOBC Department.
He also warned that MMWO make take more intensified forms of agitation if the State Government does not remove Kh Dineshchandra from his post immediately.
