Irong beat Leikoiching, win Tangkhul Men's Volleyball Tournament

Imphal, November 18 2021: Irong fought back from two sets down to stun Leikoiching and win the 1st Tangkhul Men's Volleyball Tournament at Muirei village, Ukhrul, on Thursday.

Irong dropped the first two sets but they made a remarkable comeback producing a strong showing in the ensuing contest to upset Leikoiching 23-25, 19-25, 25-16, 26-24, 17-15 and lay their hands on the championship trophy.

Hungpung's Sapai L was adjudged as the best setter while Leikoiching's MK Honarpui was named as the best blocker, with Muirei's Mahaiso and Irom's Khayu-ingam bagging the best spiker and best player awards, respectively.
