State kick-boxers bag 11 gold medals in Thailand Open

In all, 11 kickboxers of Manipur, who were part of Team India, bagged 11 gold medals in the Thailand Open International Urban Games Championship-2022 for Cadet, Junior & Senior held at Sityodong Stadium, Pattaya, Thailand from December 2 to 5 .
In a release, Kickboxing Association of Manipur (KAM) informed that gold medals were won by Khundrakpam Lamnganba Singh (28 kg-P/F), Rishikanta Ngangkham (40 kg-P/F) and Naorem Bony Singh (48 kg-L/C), all in cadet category; Sarungbam Puinakanta (55 kg-F/C), Raj Kumar Nelson (63.5 kg-L/K), Yangambam Thoithoiba Meitei (52 kg - F/C), Raj Kumari Nengthenu (45 kg-F/C), Khumanthem Sarju Devi (52 kg-L/K) and Waikhom Hiraj Singh (60 kg-L/C), junior category; and Raj Kumar Ronish Singh (56 kg-F/C) and Sarungbam Juha (60 kg-L/K) in senior category.
Five officials from the state: also participated in the championship.
They are Sarungbam Umakanta Singh, as Indian chief of the mission as well as judge/referee; Team India coach Yambem Gobin Singh along with Thounaojam Niranjoy Singh, Ashinikumar Ngangkham and Mutum Chandrabala Devi as judges/ referees.
