State boys & girls win 13 medals at NTPC kids National archery

State young archers produced a strong showing to scoop 13 medals including three gold on the second day of the 4th NTPC Cherukurl Lenin Volga Memorial Kids (U-9) National Archery Championship at Laurel High School, Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday.
State boys swept the board in the individual compound round competition where Konthoujam Hanson Singh clinched the gold medal as fellow Shagolsem Manithoiba Singh claimed the silver and Langpoklakpam Bikash Singh settled for the bronze.
The other two gold medals came courtesy of boys' team events.
In the boys' recurve team event, the state quartet of Lamyanba Soibam, Hidengmayum Binison Sharma, Jactor Potshangbam Meetei and Paonam Johnson Singh secured the top podium honours.
The other gold medal in team competition (Indian round) was won with the help of Langpoklakpam Bikash Singh, Konthoujam Hanson Singh, Moirangthem Bikash Singh and Shagolsem Manithoi Singh.
In other Indian round contests, Langpoklakpam Bikash bagged a silver medal (boys' 10m individual) while the girls' team of Moirangthem Lanchenbi, Tonjem Kelvina Devi, Maibam Lanchenbi Chanu and Takhellambam Changkhonbi Devi took bronze medal.
Also, the state pair of Langpoklakpam Bikash and Moi rangthem Lanchenbi bagged the silver medal in the mixed team event in Indian round competition.
Tonjam Kelvina claimed the bronze medal in the girls' individual Olympic round.
In compound, Chongtham Chitan won silver medal (boys' individual Olympic round) while Langamba Mutum took bronze in both Olympic round and 10+15m event.
Meanwhile, the boys' team comprising Lanngamba Mutum, Chongtham Chitan, Zuventus Khaidem and Alfred Tensubam sealed the silver medal in the compound team event.
