6th Hockey India Sub-Jr Men's Natl C'ship : CHA, MHA, BHO win; HMP hold BHA

Chattisgarh Hockey (CHA) trounced Hockey Uttarakhand (HUT) by a margin of 6 goals to three in a Group-A match of the ongoing 6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship (B-Division), organised by Hockey Manipur under the aegis of Hockey India, today at Hockey Ground, Khuman Lampak.
A treble from Khilesh Pandya in the 26th, 42nd and 65th minute followed by a brace from Tarun Yadav in the 23rd, 55th and a goal from Piyush Sahu in the 63rd minute gave five winning goals to CHA.
On the other side, Sumit Kumar's double (19th, 25th) and Pradeep Singh's goal in the 49th minute helped HUT pull back three goals.
In another Group-A match today, Mumbai Hockey Association (MHA) thrashed Kerala Hockey (KER) by a margin of 5 goals to one.
Raj Patil, Vipin Kushwaha, Deep Mistry and Mayur Das scored the winning goals of MHA in the 6th, 11th, 29th, 50th and 59th minute respectively.
The lone goal for KER was scored by Sreedev GB in the 34th minute.
In a Group-B match, Hockey Madhya Pradesh (HMP) held Bengal Hockey Association (BHA) 1-1.Salman Khan found the net for BHA in the 37th minute.
However, Ayush Pethe found the equaliser in the 39th minute for HMP.
In another Group-B match, Hockey Bhopal (BHO) handed a crushing 15-2 defeat to Hockey Gujarat (GUJ) .
Sourabh Pasine and Imad Uddin were the star players of BHO as Sourabh (14th, 33rd, 42nd, 69th) and Imad (22nd, 35th, 44th, 64th) banged in four goals each.
The other winning goals came through Sahibur Rehman (23rd, 31st), Faizan Uddin (61st, 69th), M Islah Nasir (32nd), Anzar U Rehman (40th) and Zeeshan (49th) .
On the other hand, Shyamprakash Yadav (4th) and Manthan Patel (25th) scored a goal each for GUJ.
