Imphal, October 18:
Heavily adulterated fuel, mainly petrol and diesel, which are being sold at numerous roadside stalls in CCpur are taking their toll on motor vehicles and many of them, mainly two wheelers, have developed engine problems, sources said.
As the two petrol pumps in the town remained shut due to stoppage of supply as the tanker drivers are on strike, petrol products can only be obtained from the black marketers, who sell petrol heavily mixed with kerosene or diesel at a price ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 70 per litre.
