Medical camp held

Imphal, February 18 2015:
21 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a medical camp under 'Operation Sadbhavana programme' at Tuitam Khongkhai village of Churachandpur district.
According to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S), the event was inaugurated by Brig Gajendra Joshi, SM, Commander, 28 Sector Assam Rifles.
A total of 452 patients including 121 children were treated during the medical camp.
The efforts and initiatives taken up by Assam Rifles were appreciated by the locals and it strengthened the friendship bond between the Assam Rifles and local populace.
In a similar endeavour, 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a dental camp under 'Operation Sadbhavana programme' at Kharan village where a medical team from 12 Dental Unit led by a team of 2 Assam Rifles provided dental check to 102 locals.
A lecture on 'Healthy Teeth � Healthy Living' was also conducted by the medical officer.
At the culmination of the dental camp, the local populace expressed their deep gratitude to the Assam Rifles and applauded the kind efforts in helping the people of Manipur residing in remote villages.
