In view of the outbreak of Swine Flu in different parts of India, the State Health Department has taken up all necessary measures to tackle the viral in case it spreads to Manipur.
Health Director Dr O Ibomcha has already directed relevant authorities to arrange separate hospitals in all district hospitals for treatment of people infected by Swine Flu.
The Health Department has also written to RIMS and JNIMS to arrange separate wards for Swine Flu infected people.
Tamiflu tablets have been stocked in the department apart from ordering additional quantities of vaccines and tablets, said Dr Ibomcha.
At first, Swine Flu was transmitted from pigs to human beings but now the disease has become contagious among human beings.
