Imphal, February 18 2015:
A five day economic blockade on all the State's National Highways imposed by the Joint Action Committee on Kadangband killing has started today with no reports of unwanted incidents, reports our Kangpokpi correspondent.
More than 20 loaded trucks have been stranded at Kangpokpi police check-post while some loaded vehicles were also reportedly stranded at Mao gate and Hengbung, Senapati district.
A reliable source from the JAC said that a meeting with the Kuki civil bodies was convened this evening in Imphal to discuss further course of action and to intensify the blockade.
