Assam Rifles saves snake bite victims

Imphal / Ukhrul, August 07 2018:
Tulihal Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) saved the life of one snake bite victim.
The victim has Huidrom Langamba Meitei (40), a resident of Kakwa, Imphal West District was bitten by poisonous snake and was immediately rushed to the unit hospital.
The patient was readily attended by the medical team under the Regimental Medical Officer and was treated.
The timely action of medical team saved a precious human life.
In another similar incident, 27 AR officer of Kharasom outpost saved the life of one Solomon A S of Chingjaroi Khullen village, Ukhrul District who was bitten by a snake.
The Village Authority and Youth organisation of Chingjaroi Khullen village expressed gratitude to Capt Sage Patel and his Assam Rifles team for timely administration of anti venom and life saving drug and also for providing drinking water to Chingjaroi Khullen village.
