Khuga Bn launches project SMILE

A felicitation cum awareness ceremony under project SMILE 'Small Initiative for Larger Effects' was organised by Khuga Battalion under the aegis of Churachandpur Sector at District Training Centre Tuibong, Churachandpur today.
The aim of the event was to promulgate awareness among aspirants before the onset of Army Recruitment Rally scheduled in October 18.The event was attended by aspirants of recruitment rally and parents of 90 selected candidates of previous year recruitment in order to motivate the youth.
The event commenced with an awareness lecture highlighting the army recruitment rally 2018 and giving update on Suvigya and Career Counseling Cell.
Meanwhile, Brig Hiren Desai, Commander 27 Sector Assam Rifles while addressing the gathering emphasised that such employment avenues should be exploited by the youth residing in and around Churachandpur, to strive for better future and contribute towards Nation building.
He also guided ESM and the aspiring candidates to avail the facilities of Suvigya and Career Counselling Cell established at Khuga Dam.
The opportunity was used by establishing various counters including MITRA vehicle for on the spot registrations of candidates, Suvigya Cell to address pension related grievances of the ESM, medical camp for the locals and stalls by various Government departments like Aadhar and PAN Card, Bank and Telecom Service providers, Handloom Industry and Cottage Industry for the benefit of the attendees.
The ceremony provided an excellent opportunity for the Battalion to reach out to the youth and motivate them towards better future prospects.
A total of 568 individuals attended the event and 204 aspirants were registered.
