Pest management training concludes

Central Integrated Pest Management Centre, Imphal Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine and Storage, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India has concluded a two day 'Integrated Pest Management, Human Resource Development training programme' at Pinjang village, Noney district today.
The training programme was inaugurated by Kabidon Golmei, chairman, Pinjang village and Longsai as chief guest and Poudailung Golmei, village chief and Dr O Tarunkumar Singh, Deputy Director (E) and officer in-charge of CIPMC, Imphal as guest of honour and president respectively.
More than 100 farmers and locals took part in the training programme.
Experts from Central IPM Centre Dr OT Singh, DD (E), NL Singh, PRO (PP), Dr Adam Kamei, APPO and subject matter specialist, Plant Protection from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Senapati Dr David Kamei trained the farmers on various practices and packages of Integrated Pest Management on Kharif crops.
