Position winners in different categories of the painting competition organised by Manipur Pollution Control Board Employees' Association on June 24 at Tamphasana Higher Secondary School in connection with the World Environment Day 2007 has been announced, informed an Association release while adding that prize would be distributed on July 11 at 1 pm at the office of the Board.
The winners in senior group are Soram Sanathoiba (Cl-VI) of St Joseph's School (1st), LN Tinku (Cl-VIII) of DAV Public School (2nd) and Kshetrimayum Rojesh Singh (Cl-VIII) of Shantilata Memorial School (3rd).Maria Montessori School made a clean sweep of the top three positions in the junior group with Maria Thokchom (Cl-V) bagging the first prize, Khwairakpam Amarjeet (Cl-IV) securing the runner-up spot while Sonia Thiyam (Cl-V) occupied the third slot.
Meanwhile, in collaboration with Child Rights and You (CRY), Wide Angle Social Development Organisation, Keishampat Junction organised a painting competition for children at Planet Kids, Keishampat in which 64 children took part.
In Category - A, Heritage Convent, Uripok's class III student Sayona Kshetrimayum bagged the top prize followed by G Ratankumari (Cl-III) of Salvation Academy, Kwakeithel and Laishram Shitaljit Meitei (Cl-III) of St Peters High School, Kwakeithel in the second and third positions respectively.
The Category B winners include Kaphun Gangmei (Cl-VI) of Nirmala Rani English School, Wangoi (first); Heikham Supriya Devi (Cl-V) of Nirmala Bas High School (second); and Mongjam Reliya Chanu (Cl-VI) of Brighter Shepherd Academy, Kwakeithel (third).
