The Sangai Express regrets
Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, July 19 2013 :
Readers of The Sangai Express, English edition, please refer to the photo and the caption that accompanied the news story : "Pallel drug seizure case : Remaining three accused out on bail, walk out of jail" and published in the July 19 edition of this paper.
Due to a gross oversight, the photo carried the picture of a man, at the extreme left and shown wearing a red coloured T Shirt, who was not at all a party to the drug case.
|
He is in fact Mr Chandam Heramani, a lecturer in a higher secondary school and had nothing to do with the drug case.
Any inconvenience, embarassment or slight cast on the character of Mr Heramani is highly regretted.
To make the story clearer we are carrying his picture again to say that he is not at all a party to the case and it was sheer over sight that his photo came out along with the other two accused.
Our sincere regrets, once again.
