Imphal, July 19 2013 :
After the Supreme Court has quashed the Medical Council of India's notification for NEET, the Health Directorate is awaiting a decision of the State Government which is deliberating the issue with the State Law Department for holding State PMT 2013 .
As the apex Court's directive is binding for all citizens, the Health Directorate would take up necessary measures based on Government decision.
However, the Cabinet meeting scheduled today where the Supreme Court's directive of July 18 was expected to figure prominently has been cancelled.
"We will do what the Government tells us and we are awaiting instruction from the Government", said one official on condition of anonymity.
Holding the State PMT 2013 would take time and it may require permission from the relevant authority for the same test was not held in time.
Nonetheless, the State Cabinet may held a meeting on July 20 and deliberate on the issue of holding the State PMT, informed a source.
