Jiribam, July 30 2012:
Doctors and other staffs of Jiribam Community Health Centre (CHC), under the aegis of All Jiribam Medical Employees' Association, staged a sit-in protest today against a monetary demand and threat on the life of the CHC employees by unidentified miscreants.
The OPD of Jiri CHC was closed due to the sit-in protest.
Various women's organisations based in Jiribam have also participated in the demonstration.
Speaking at the protest site, president of AJMEA, Kamo Singh appealed all concerned to withdraw the threat and ensure that such threats are not repeated in the future in the interest of the Jiri public.
